With the Northfield Knights dropping from Class B to Class C in the offseason, Section 1B now has four teams and a new look to its tournament. Section 1B commission Dan Plein emailed me the playoff bracket and you can download it here.
Last year, the section tournament consisted of a best-of-three play-in series and two best-of-five series. The section will revert back to a double-elimination tournament in 2011. The section champion and the runner-up both advance to a super section tournament.
All but one game in the Section 1B tournament, which begins Aug. 2 and concludes Aug. 6, will be played at the top-seeded team’s field.
Miesville, Red Wing, Dundas and Hastings are the remaining members of Section 1B.
